The factory Wrangler JK tie rod has many curves in it, which results in weaker tie rod. The Tru-Turn kit utilizes the same bolt on hub bracket design that has been proven in the ORO U-Turn steering kit for TJ’s.
By bolting the hub brackets to the steering knuckles, there is a new mounting point for the tie rod to the steering knuckle. This generates the ability to have a straight tie rod that goes from one side to the
other, making it as strong as possible as well as easy to adjust toe.
The Tie rod is constructed of 1 3/8″ solid heat treated chromoly, drilled and tapped for the larger than stock tie rod ends. Includes everything you need to bolt this onto the JK Dana 30 or Dana 44 front axle.
There is not a provision for the steering stabilizer included, we offer a stabilizer relocation kit or a separate mounting tab for the stabilizer as an option.
These tie rod ends are grease-able and replacements are available at your local auto parts store.
